The DuBois Area Council on the Arts, a 501 C (3) community arts group, abbreviated as DACOTA, was founded in the late 1980’s to foster the promotion of community interest in art, music, dance, theater and photography for educational and civic purposes, and to work within the community to effectuate those goals.
DACOTA meets at 7pm on the third Monday of each month, during the months of January, February, March, April, May and June, continuing in September, October and November. The Annual DACOTA Picnic is held in August, and a Holiday Dinner is held in December. Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting and promoting the arts.
